1.  Starting Point

The trek often begins from Mel bot which is a short drive from Pokhara. From Mel bot, you can either hike or drive a bit further to reach the camp (Astam).

The majority of the inhabitants in Ghandruk are Gurungs, an ethnic group with a rich cultural heritage. Trekkers can have the opportunity to experience Gurung traditions, including their unique dress, music, food, and dance.

The landscape around Ghandruk is adorned with terraced fields, traditional stone houses, and lush greenery. The village itself is a visual delight, and the surrounding mountains add to its charm.
